Our client, a managed care company, is seeking a Sr Systems Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL

Position Type: Contract

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for identifying the best solution, translating business requirements and application architecture into technical specifications. Validating that business and technical requirement work with existing Data and IT ecosystem. Manage data systems and data supply configuration based on technical specifications.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years Information Technology experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 6-year Information Technology experience OR 8 years Information Technology experience.
  • System technical design specification writing experience
  • Experience with Facets, HL7 is plus
  • Experience identifying, mapping, and managing dependencies
  • Programming experience (preferred not required) - Java, .Net or other OOP software languages
  • Knowledge of Data Integration Technologies - Information/Mulesoft/Datapower
  • Knowledge of integrated distributed systems with inter-application communication technologies, API Management, SOAP/RESTful service calls, and Asynchronous Messages Technologies.
  • Knowledge of in EDI 27x, DFDL, XML/XSD/WSDL, JSON, BLOB, Copy Book, and XSLT
  • Database SQL experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum team
  • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills - Ability to troubleshoot, triage, solve critical time sensitive issues by breaking down issues into core issues
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research business problem and plan technical solutions
  • Develop & document detailed data integration & other technical specifications and designs
  • Provide application system knowledge to vendor and other cross functional teams.
  • Work & coordinate with product vendor and internal architecture, application services, infrastructure, release management and other relevant stakeholders to enable a smooth deployment.
  • Develop & document standard operating procedures for transition system support into routine operations.
  • Enable building of knowledge databases for technology, solutions, and domain areas.
  • Continuously work on capturing and transferring tacit knowledge to vendors and knowledge management systems.

Maintain communication with management regarding developments within areas of assigned responsibilities, and perform special projects as required or requested.
