We foster a strong culture and environment of learning with excellent opportunities for advancement Under the supervision of the Director of Accounting and Finance the Staff Accountant is responsible to analyze, compile and maintain the financial records in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in an accurate and timely monthly and year end close. Reconcile G/L accounts and resolve any issues, as needed. Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit. Maintains acceptable accounting practices and procedures. Ensure that privileged and/or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded against disclosure Performs other related duties and assignments as assigned by other members of the team.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Team mindset and ability to collaborate with members of a large team strongly preferred. Knowledge of general financial accounting (US GAAP). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.). EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or business related field required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) eligible candidate, either completed or planning to complete in the near future preferred. Prior experience (no more than 2 years) in accounting/financial analysis work experience in a business environment either in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance preferred but not required. Prior knowledge of accounting software is a plus (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, a giant plus). Healthcare industry experience desired but not required.
