Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Healthcare/NHS industry based in Oak Lawn, Illinois. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, handle invoicing, manage treasury functions, and conduct financial analysis. This role also involves process improvement, team leadership, and training.Responsibilities: Maintain complete and accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, cash entries, and balance sheet schedules. Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheet and income statements. Prepare monthly rent and sublease invoices for all tenants and monthly invoices for services to practice management clients. Monitor bank balances, download activity, and manage online transfers. Act as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Gather and prepare audit and tax return data. Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. Provide guidance and collaboration/support to fellow accounting team members, reviewing their work and offering training opportunities.Requirements Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations is required Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries is necessary Must be well-versed with Month End Close procedures Knowledge of NetSuite and QuickBooks is crucial Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements is needed Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Experience in the Healthcare/NHS industry is preferred Degree in Accounting or a related field is desirable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are needed Attention to detail and accuracy in all work is crucial Must be able to work independently and as part of a teamRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
