Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in ELGIN, Illinois. This role is pivotal in our industry, where you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities centered around accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger duties.Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications. Maintain and update customer credit records regularly. Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Monitor customer accounts regularly, and take appropriate actions when necessary. Handle tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records. Manage the General Ledger, including the preparation and posting of journal entries. Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Utilize Sage X3 for various accounting functions. Expertly use Excel formulas and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
