In addition, we design and connect Tyson's food portfolios with today's hyper-connected consumers demanding meaningful and relevant brand experiences across multiple touchpoints.Core ResponsibilitiesThe Tyson Brand Design Manager reports to the Director, Brand Design. They collaborate with cross-functional team members across all business, both base, and innovation, to effectively develop and deliver holistic brand creation, design strategy, and compelling designed experiences (brand, product, packaging) with strategic business value. As a proven Strategic Brand Design Manager, they manage our curated team of agency partners to ensure Strategy, Design, Innovation, and Realization projects are developed and delivered to the Tyson Design functions' standard of quality, value, and time. They manage the total visual brand identity system and lead the project team from conceptualization and strategy to design development and realization to ensure each stakeholder understands their role and responsibilities throughout the strategic and creative process. They manage design strategy, planning, direction, and delivery of brand design solutions that answer business challenges across all brands, base, and innovation. They plan, envision, and collect design proposals to visualize the desired output. They regularly review project status with appropriate leadership to meet functions' expectations. They manage the creation and governance of equitable brand assets. They participate in research activities and effectively translate business partners' needs into actionable design requirements and solutions. They are responsible for design recommendations that generate critical value for our stakeholders.An ideal candidate will be able to collaborate and co-create with cross-functional teams to develop strategies to identify relevant and new opportunities, products, and experiences. They are leaders working in a multi-disciplinary environment and exceptional co-creators with fellow design leaders and cross-functional team members. They understand how to translate the team strategy and ambition and apply it to an agile, iterative design methodology created to achieve consumer desirability, business viability ambition, and technical feasibility goals. They are seasoned and skilled at connecting cross-functional teams, balancing opposing ideas, and bringing ideas to life to ensure the final product matches the vision. As a proven Strategic Brand Design practitioner, they provide both the base and innovation teams with relevant design methodologies, complex branding problem solving, curated specialist resources, and transformative opportunities to ensure brands benefit from the essential value of Design. Critical day to day activities that the Strategic Brand Design Manager leads: All Design management (including and not limited to Brand Innovation, Brand Strategy, Brand Design, Brand Realization, brandmark development, brand positioning, visual identity systems, brand packaging strategies (physical and digital), Strategic Brand Books, Brand Guidelines, Brandmark guidelines, Packaging guidelines, etc.) Design Brief development and Co-Creation Agency curation and management SOW negotiation & budget management Photography + Art Direction Brand Governance and Brand Asset management Design timeline management and integration with PMO Guidance for all project budgets by fiscal year Invoice management & submission Print and color management review and approvals Shared printer relationship management with production Design comps/mock-ups (physical and digital)A bit about influenceMerriam-Webster defines an influencer as one who exerts influence, a person who inspires or guides the actions of others. Strong background and knowledge of visual identity, brand strategy, brand packaging design, brand innovation, structural design, and production and how these work together holistically to bring a brand experience to life

Exceptional understanding of the entire Design and production process, from ideas and concepts to realization and commercialization

BA Degree in Humanities, Design, Business

Champion design thinker and doer, educator, collaborator, and co-creator

Articulate a design vision through methodologies that support planning, prototyping, strategic roadmaps, etc. to get things done through formal and informal channels

Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members, including but not limited to Consumer Insights, marketers, culinary, engineering, and media teams, to cross-pollinate ideas

Build and nurture the Design Innovation methodologies and capabilities

Proven ability to effectively incorporate design research (including primary and secondary research) into the innovation methodology
