Permanent, full time job (direct hire) offering annual salary with full benefits and relocation assistanceSystems Engineer : Primary work domains are train communications and passenger information systems, as well as vehicle data acquisition and telematics

Defines the system functional, electrical, and mechanical requirements in line with the train architecture and customer requirements.

Writes detailed system requirements specifications and in leading internal and customer system design reviews

Performs a complete system reliability, maintainability, and safety analysis to ensure a fully integrated, safe & compliant system design ( system design compliance with applicable standards )

Authors and reviews system functional requirements, interface documentation between internal and external train systems and creates both networking and subsystem diagrams

Defines network topologies, protocols, system block diagrams and communications solutions to meet the customer requirements

Works with Train Control and Schematics engineers to ensure electrical functions and systems interfaces are adequately integrated

Provides technical support to the Production Line, Procurement and Quality teams

Develops system verification plans & procedures, and supports the test team with train-level validation (to ensure each system requirement is properly incorporated, verified and functional)

Provides technical support to the bids team by identifying adequate technical solutions, and estimating associated costs and schedules.

Skills, Experience, Education :

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent

Must have a relevant rolling stock experience

Experience in rail vehicle systems engineering, railway vehicle systems integration and application

Experience with rail transit vehicle passenger information and communication systems
