Hybrid Role - Primarily Remote!To apply to this role, please send your resume to John Sadofsky at john.sadofsky@roberthalf.c0mAbout the job The Tax Manager will be responsible for consolidated global interim and annual income tax provision calculations and disclosures.Essential Job Duties:
Develop and support the current and deferred tax amounts in the US GAAP audited financial results reported quarterly to the SEC
Work with tax colleagues to develop effective tax rate reconciliations and tax cash-flow support for management, identifying known or expected changes in tax legislation, tax audits and projected book/tax differences
Update and maintain the Company's detailed inventory of deferred tax assets and liabilities, and uncertain tax position reserves
Maintenance of balance sheet tax accounts and review of tax accounts reconciliations
Research emerging tax issues and their impact on the company’s tax compliance
Assist with tax accounting methods and their impact on external financial reporting
Ensure tax function adherence to SOX controls
Assist with tax automation projects and process improvement initiatives
Assist in monitoring transfer pricing policies and related documentation
Manage domestic and international post-acquisition tax integration and determination of tax entries for US GAAP purchase accounting
Assist in preparing responses to IRS income tax audit inquiries
Assist in accounting special projects
Assume other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education & Experience:
BA/BS degree in accounting. CPA professional certification preferred
7+ years of experience in a public accounting tax environment or a public corporation tax environment or a combination of both is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Taxation
Minimum 3 years of experience in tax provisioning interaction between outside auditors and in-house team preferred (experience can be from working either on the CPA firm side or on the client/industry side of US GAAP audits
Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of PC and computer skills with the ability to perform multi-tasks is require
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Technical expertise in tax accounting matters, demonstrated by a minimum of 3+ years of relevant tax experience preparing and reviewing US GAAP income tax provision
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 key controls related to accounting for income tax
Experience with corporate tax provision systems
