Technical LeadChicago, IL (remote for now, hybrid next year starting)Job Description:Projects will primarily include working with Java systems and ReactJs Single Page Apps to enhance features. The Technical Lead role will join a growing team of full stack, backend developers and will help lead projects for strategic applications. This role will spend most of their time creating ReactJS single page applications with Java/Springboot backends.
Experience Level: Senior 10+ yearsQualifications:- Excellent Skills with ReactJs and Single Page Applications and Micro Front ends- Excellent Skills with Springboot/Java-Past experience in product based organizations that ship product every two weeks- Deep understanding of Continuous Delivery and best practices such as TDD, Feature Flags, Trunk Based development, release branching- Ability to navigate and manage JIRA tickets and Agile boards.-8-10 years of core Java experience-10 years of UI development experience-Deep knowledge of micro front-ends and micro-services based architecture.-Is an advocate of CI/CD, TDD, trunk based development with feature flags and scaled releases.-Technically competent and focuses on complex applications and systems where expertise is required. An expert in a specific skill set but remains focused primarily on daily execution.-Is comfortable working in an Agile setting with high frequency deployments.-A College or University degree in Computer Science and/or relevant work experience is required.Tasks & responsibilities:- Plan and Lead development projects including estimating work effort, understanding cross-project dependencies, resource planning, infrastructure planning- Plan and Lead development projects including those with strategic Architecture, design, and complex implementation- Strong communication skills to report status and translate technical concepts/issues to senior management- Monitoring of code quality, project documentation, end-user documentation and education- Coordinate with Testing leads to consult on the creation of Testing Strategies- Coordinate with Release Management to plan and prepare testing environments and data seeding on project-by-project basis- Participate in team reviews of design artifacts and code, make changes as required, and recommend alternative solutions where appropriate- Architects technical solutions to problems- Reviews code and ensures engineers are adhering to software engineering best practices.- Works closely with Product owners and Scrum Masters to break down work into manageable tasks.- Takes the lead on production deployments.- Develops periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work by employees and outside technology contractors- Provides input into performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions Identifies business needs and develops conceptual systems design Please share your updated resume.
