The Technical Lead is responsible for application design, implementation, and deployment on small technical engagements and large projects. The Technical Lead may be responsible for the day-to-day management of a small team. In this role, the Technical Lead is expected to routinely demonstrate their technical leadership as well as managing the technology in projects and providing technical guidance and solutions for work completion. This individual is also responsible for creating work plans and monitoring and tracking the work schedule for on time delivery as per the defined quality standards. He/she will also ensure process improvement and compliance in the assigned module and participate in technical discussions/review.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Acts as senior technical point of contact and overall go-to person.
  • Serves as a designated lead to include project/task delegation, monitoring work quality, and providing technical direction.
  • Lead, mentor, and train onsite and offshore tech teams.
  • Prepares and submits monthly, weekly, daily and ad hoc IT service-related reports and/or data calls.
  • Leads team and project meetings with other team members and external support groups.
  • Update tickets following documentation templates and/or guidelines to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Participate in pre-scheduled after-hours support of weekly on-call rotation and/or as a team member supporting special projects or releases.
  • Analyzes functional business requirements and design specifications for functional activities.
  • Effectively contribute to technical discussions and develop and present required briefing materials to ensure the client’s needs are met.
  • Should provide identification/fixing for the problems within existing systems design/implementation of new systems, enhances the existing systems and participates in analysis, design and new construction of next generation IT systems.
  • Provides evaluation, training, coaching and mentorship.
  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Communicate effectively both orally and written with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assists in establishing project design standards.
  • Assists in transforming requirements into high-level software designs.
  • Develops necessary technical documentation/technical writing.
  • Contributes to technical architecture and development for projects at a tactical and strategic level.

Education, Experience and Other Skills:
  • BA or BS, preferably in computer science, engineering or science/technology-based discipline, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • 3+ years of strong .NET programming experience.
  • Captures basic functional requirements with Use Cases.
  • Captures basic constraining requirements in a supplementary specification.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate software design with various skill levels.
  • A calm and focused approach to high-pressure situations.
  • The ability to be receptive and action-oriented in response to constructive feedback.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

Technical Skill Set:

Required: .Net Framework, ASP.NET MVC, Angular JS, Angular, jQuery, JavaScript, SQL Server, HTML 5, CSS 3, REST API, Web services, WCF, Azure DevOps

Nice to have: .Net Core, Micro services, Telerik controls and Reporting tools, SAAS Application development
