SUMMARYUnder direct supervision, performs a variety of routine support activities in the technical support function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs a technical liaison, is responsible for providing troubleshooting and repair technical support to company field engineers, technicians, and customers.Assesses and responds to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software.May report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to engineering.This entry-level position requires knowledge of company product lines and troubleshooting methods.May assist Sales Manager, and dealers in price quotes, technical questions and product demonstrations.Coordinates with Sales, Material Control, and Q.C. on customer queries.Collects background data (cost, order history, etc.) to assist in large order negotiations.Maintains competitive literature and pricing files for ready reference. Writes application notes.Assist with touchscreen product return testing and analysis.Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEThis is an entry-level position which requires knowledge of company product line and troubleshooting methods. Requires a 4-year technical degree, preferably a BS in Physics, Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), or Industrial Technology.Must be looking for a career path.Any exposure with sales or willingness to learn sales will be a HUGE plusThis an onsite position, no remote work.

LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
