Description We are offering a role in the manufacturing industry located in Niles, Illinois for a Desktop Support Analyst. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity where you will be an integral part of our IT Infrastructure team. As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for providing workstation support and ensuring the smooth functioning of our IT operations.Responsibilities: Provide first-line technical support to users experiencing issues with their workstations Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and implement effective solutions Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues Establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals Test and evaluate new technology Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.Requirements Proven experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role within a manufacturing industry Advanced knowledge of workstation support Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and servers Ability to provide technical assistance and support related queries Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently Relevant certifications in IT and computer systems would be advantageous Willingness for continuous learning and development in the field of IT support Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
