The Burnham Park Yacht Club is situated in the Museum Campus Area of Chicago’s Lakefront. We are located on Northerly Island which forms the Eastern Shore of Burnham Harbor which is the most sheltered harbor in Chicago. Our clubhouse offers magnificent views of the harbor activity as well as a panoramic scope of Chicago’s skyline.

Job Description: Tender (Boat) Driver

SUMMARY: We are looking for an enthusiastic Tender Driver to provide an excellent member experience. The Tender Driver will shuttle passengers to and from the Club and make food deliveries and other duties as assigned. Compensation includes competitive hourly wage plus gratuity.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining Tender - Cleaning, checking safety equipment

Loading and Unloading passengers

Safe operation of the vessel in Burnham Harbor

Keep customers behaving safe and responsibly

Clean the boat before and after each trip to ensure an enjoyable environment for all customers

Perform other duties as assigned: Groundskeeping, light housekeeping, assist with general clubhouse maintenance.

Requirements

Customer service driven individual

Experienced boat drivers preferred, but training is available

Safety first mindset

Computer literacy

Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

Be able to reach, bend, lift up to 40 pounds

Training Requirements

Successful completion of hourly position validations including company-required training. (Safety, Tender driving training).

Performance Standards:

Meets all company service standards

Maintains upbeat, guest-first, positive attitude

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + Tips. Shift meal each day scheduled.
