STOP and READ: This project is expected to last 8 to 10 months in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Once completed, you will be assigned a new construction project (most likely in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area). Current work schedule is 6 days per week, averaging 12 to 16 hours per day. Additionally, this position requires you to walk the job site every day, throughout the day. Lastly, this Traveling Superintendent role requires superintendent experience with large commercial (preferably higher education) projects.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Lead and manage commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with the creative vision and specifications.

Creative Problem Solving: Embrace challenges and find innovative solutions to construction issues that may arise during the project, working closely with the design team to maintain the project's creative integrity.

Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration among project teams, architects, designers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and a shared commitment to the project's creative objectives.

Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship in all construction activities, ensuring that the finished product meets or exceeds client expectations.

Safety: Promote a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and practices, and conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.

Budget and Schedule Management: Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, construction methods, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in commercial construction.

Client Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and needs promptly and professionally.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and project records.

Qualifications:

Procore Expertise (certification highly desired)

Preferred experience with projects in the 30-80 million range

Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial construction projects.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

A creative mindset and a passion for innovative construction techniques and design.

Knowledge of construction best practices, codes, and regulations.

Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
