THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE

Visual Merchandising Specialist is responsible for supporting the entire lifecycle of in-store marketing elements including fixtures, graphics and semi-permanent fixtures for his/her assigned categories. Individual performs a wide variety of core job responsibilities which include:

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS
  • Strategy: Supports the Visual Merchandising team in new and ongoing strategies to elevate the store experience. Maintain a high-level awareness of upcoming strategies to anticipate administrative needs as it pertains to the project. Partner with other visual merchandising team members to ensure all visual merchandising documents are consistently updated and managed to ensure accuracy and reduce overlap.

  • Project Development: Provides support to the visual merchandising team, keeping informed of all developmental progress of their brand categories and will execute as it pertains to assigned projects, supporting the integration of fixturing and graphics.

  • Project Management: Collaborates with internal and external cross-functional partners across the organization to scope projects, develop strategy, oversee budget, manage timelines and monitor progress of projects from conception to in-store execution. Provides support in estimating and invoice processing as assigned by brand category. Upkeeping project trackers, creating and developing print production orders and maintaining store distribution list.

  • Inventory Management: Responsible for brand category inventory reports to determine replenishment needs, track to Weekly Exception Report from Warehousing Vendor and ensure items are set-up on Store Portal. Updates graphic libraries on an ongoing basis for internal and external use.

  • Communication / Operating Strategy: Effectively communicates with all internal and external partners. Creates communication guides including instruction sheets and/or store communications for stores when necessary. Communicates category strategies and project updates with extended internal team (GO/Remodel store team leads) on an ongoing basis. Manages relationships with cross-functional teams including Creative, Merchants, Suppliers, Space Planning, Floor Planning, Procurement and Store Design. Partners with internal associates to ideate and/or resolve critical issues that may arise.

  • Team Development: Develop your own Individual Development Plan (IDP) for personal and professional growth within current role. Engage in LMS tool to deepen knowledge of ULTA core values. Continue your Teams development growth through store visits and industry knowledge including but not limited to printing, fixture displays and working programs.
    • Undergraduate degree in relevant field (Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Project Management).
    • Minimum 3-5 years of merchandising, marketing, buying or planogram work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
    • Previous experience in corporate visual merchandising or in-store marketing experience preferred.
    • Merchandising skills with demonstrated knowledge of store fixtures, design and store operations. Additional experience with temporary fixture and point of purchase displays preferred.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Analytical and process management and development skills are necessary for continuous improvement.
    • Self-starter capable of meeting tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.
    • Significant experience utilizing Microsoft Office
      • Excel (including: V-Look ups, pivot tables, reports)
      • Word
      • PowerPoint
    • Additional experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other design software is preferred.
    • Experience with project management scheduling software, workflow management and other workflow tools are strongly preferred.
    • Exceptional handling in negotiations, value analysis and supplier management required.
    • Knowledgeable and experienced in print procurement, production, & print processes required.
    • Working knowledge about print equipment and technology to determine the appropriate type and process for all the various print vehicles while maintaining cost efficiencies.
