What We'll Bring:The VP of Engineering Enablement role will be to lead with an enablement mindset to design services and support to optimize engineering and delivery across the enterprise. Engineering Enablement team makes TransUnion a world-class engineering organization to operate at scale by putting an emphasis on developer experience and product quality. Their goal is to reduce time to market by increasing developer efficiency through tooling, automation, and best practices to quickly find issues and reduce overhead of regression testing or human intervention.

What You'll Bring:

  • 15+ Years' experience in progressively increasing software engineering and management roles with experience building and delivering enterprise software platforms.
  • Strong grasp of modern software engineering principles and practices with track record of rolling out transformational change in organizations with a focus on the Developer Experience.
  • Experience leading globally distributed, cross-functional organizations and operating in a matrix environment. Experience with outsourcing / nearshoring including MSA, SOW's, and SLA based delivery.
  • Experience working on low latency, highly scalable, critical systems.
  • Understanding and appreciation for Test Driven Development and Test Automation.
  • Experienced in defining and delivering metrics to drive outcomes and measure progress.
  • Experience working with agile teams in a large global enterprises.

Experience we would like to see:
  • Experience working with an agile mindset with experience in startups.
  • Proven experience with the delivery of M&A including due diligence, rationalization, and integration.

Impact You'll Make:
  • Own the vision for Developer Experience within TransUnion and create a strategy that cultivates and engaging and best-in-class experience engineering practices across the enterprise
  • Identify and rollout innovative technology and automation that optimizes software engineering and delivery and progresses enablement strategy and objectives. In partnership with TU Procure, manage the vendor relationships, drive towards strategic partners, and support models
  • Develop tools and processes that enable developers to create and deploy high quality, secure by design applications and solutions and automated unit, regression, and performance testing.
  • Foster and champion a continuous delivery culture through the creation of highly available and performant pipelines that can support the engineering teams across TransUnion with automated release and evidence for controls. Lead & build-out self-service CI/CD portal/approach for the Global Developer community
  • In partnership with the Cloud Transformation program, create and manage Infrastructure as Code pipelines that instantiates secure, performant and efficient cloud-based infrastructure and services
  • Define and measure key metrics and KPIs that create rigor around measuring enablement programs, engineering effectiveness and quality. Create a culture of data driven execution and decision making.
  • Define an inner sourcing, contribution model for engineering tooling and automation that can develop and enable distributed innovation and IP sharing.
  • Foster communities and sharing of best practices across the enterprise through Communities of Practice that bring learning and sharing to the forefront of the developer experience
  • Manage M&A integration activities by evaluating tooling and standards to drive convergence and efficiencies in technology, tools and pipelines.
  • In partnership with Legal, and other teams, create an Open Source Program Office and governance structure that ensures secure, reliable and consistent use of and contribution to open source software in the enterprise.
  • In partnership with Finance and other teams, facilitate and drive annual 3-year planning process for Engineering Enablement, capacity planning, budget allocation, and monitoring / reporting on progress.
  • Scale the team by developing leaders internally and hiring top talent
