OverviewThe VP of Operational Excellence will lead a newly formed organization within ATI which will be the driving force behind innovations in our operational practices and processes while helping to evolve and elevate our business capabilities. This VP position is a critical Enterprise role that will help to drive business improvement at a core time of inflection for the company. The role will directly interact and influence the entire ELT, as well as Field Leadership and Enterprise SVPs. The VP will be a Leader of teams who will work to both build and mature several functions under their leadership:1) T&EPMO: Our Transformation and Enterprise PMO is core to helping the Enterprise execute on key Transformational initiatives. This team develops and implements the frameworks to establish initiative prioritization (including business case development and assessment), and then partners with business leaders and SMEs from across the organization to help drive project work through ensuring the right structure, governance, workstreams, ownership, and KPIs are established and tracked for all key initiatives.2) Workforce Management Excellence: A newly created function, the WFM Excellence function will be responsible for developing and managing labor standards, roster guidelines, productivity standards, and scheduling tools and processes for the organization. This function will be key to unlocking additional productivity improvement in the Field through understanding the optimal ways to get work done and sharing that through the entire organization.3) Operational Process Innovation: Today, operational innovation is fragmented and decentralized across ATI. The goal of the Operational Process innovation function is to become a single center of excellence in driving innovation to our operational practices. This will include such areas as reducing administrative time and non-value work through automation and/or process enhancements, creation of new scorecards and tools to drive performance, as well as taking an outside-in view on innovation to ensure we are leveraging the best thinking and capabilities from outside the organization as we move forward. This function does not exist today, and the VP will need to determine what is needed to stand it up, identify opportunities to ‘fund the journey’ if new team members are needed, and set forth a roadmap of innovation that will drive EBITDA improvement for the company.Today, ATI has several Transformation projects underway. This leader will need to quickly onboard with the organization/team, learn the business, and help to drive these initiatives to successful completion while standing up new functions. This is a highly transformational role that will be key to Enterprise bottom line expansion and Operational excellence moving forward.Responsibilities Lead and evolve the Enterprise PMO team to drive and oversee key initiatives across the organization – including managing an intake function, developing business cases, and working through all phases including change management. Work collaboratively with key business stakeholders to manage and maintain focused prioritization of key strategic initiatives and investment; Drive and oversee priority business projects and programs to ensure alignment on expectations and outcomes, inclusive of service introduction Be the operational point person on Business Intelligence to help create agile and rapid delivery of key deliverables, assess new and creative analytical methodologies, and lead talent development across organization. Work collaboratively with Analytics and IT to develop a data infrastructure enhancement roadmap. Build and lead a workforce management function to own labor standards, productivity standards, roster guidelines, and staffing excellence across the organization. Hire the right leadership, then oversee and guide them through prioritization, development, and implementation of appropriate assets. Build and lead an operational process innovation function. To start, there will be no team to support this – but will need to build the business case and planning for what the function should look like over time. Goal is to reduce administrative burden on our clinics and create new automation and innovations that will drive productivity. While primary focus will be on clinic operations, will be asked to lean into Call Center, Revenue Cycle, and Health Services areas from time to time for key innovations as well.

Direct responsibility for driving innovations that create productivity improvement – with expectation for double digit millions EBITDA improvement. Likely will also own labor rate assumptions for ongoing budgeting and forecasting (to be finalized with HR and Finance. Support enterprise decision making; drive accountability in highly matrixed environmentQualificationsMinimum EducationRequired: Bachelor’s DegreePreferred: MBA and/or healthcare experience Lean Six Sigma or PMO certifications a plusMinimum ExperienceRequired: 12+ years’ experience in program/project development, transformation, healthcare technology, digital 10+ years’ experience managing direct reports and cross functional project teams Experience driving strategic roadmaps to execution Experience designing, documenting, and measuring progress to target state outcomes Experience with an innovation lifecycle: Identifying opportunities, hypothesizing solutions, creating business cases, leading pilots, leading implementation and change management in a distributed operations environment Experience with managing departmental and project budgets including total cost of ownership and business case analysis Exceptional communication acumen and ability to distill complex concepts into consumable information Experience establishing a strategy with a product team supporting a high-growth area Analytics experiencePreferred: Healthcare industry experience highly preferredKnowledge Skills and Abilities Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage and interact with both technical and business users of all levels Ability to navigate and work in a highly ambiguous, unstructured work environment Ability to frame and distill business and technology problems and develop consultative, pragmatic solutions Ability to operate within an agile delivery model Ability to anticipate emerging trends and risks and establish preemptive mitigation Highly collaborative and able to solicit key inputs, data, and points of view Consultative, solution-oriented mindset Ability to provide delivery rigor and report scorecard / key initiative status to leadership Ability to develop and present ambiguous concepts and translate into executionLicenses and CertificationsRequired: NoneConnect With Us!
