Warehouse Shipping Clerk 1st Shift $21/hr

This purpose of this position is to perform clerical functions in the shipping department.Responsibilities:Complete pick sheets (assign product to scheduled packaging loads).Take appointments and schedule trucks to pick up product.Assist in monthly inventoryAssist loaders by helping find productAttend scheduled safety and GMP meetings.Schedule and maintain inventory on packaging supply trucksUpdate the Shift Supervisor on packaging supply statusReview orders and select product for each load following FIFO.Enforce DOT weight regulations on outbound trucks.   Authorize truck drivers to enter thefacility.Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations nd policies.Perform clerical duties as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor or Plant Manager.Enter in down time information DWP.Complete samples for shipment via UPS or LTLWorking close with sales / customer service on shipment issuesBack up inventory clerk as needed
