How this opportunity is different

The HR Operations team is seeking an experienced Workday Analyst to provide strategic operational and technical support to our Total Rewards function. This person will partner closely with the Global Compensation Team, in-country compensation contacts and HRIT to perform critical work supporting Aon's broad-based compensation programs. They will use their advanced Workday expertise to translate high level vision into a clear set of requirements for processes and tools, to help to solve complex business challenges by finding new ways of doing things.

This includes support of the annual compensation cycle, Workday compensation-specific processes and technical improvements, compensation reporting, as well as oversight of Aon's job profile catalog in Workday.

What the day will look like
  • Provide end-to-end project management of Annual Compensation Planning in Workday including: recommending enhancements and coordinating testing; system preparation in advance of the process; day to day system support and troubleshooting during the cycle including responding to inquiries from the global compensation team and line HR; auditing and reporting during and after the cycle.
  • Oversee new compensation-related implementation projects to support continuous improvement efforts; monitor Workday HCM and Compensation roadmap and Workday Community to drive process improvement and innovation
  • Partner with external service providers to maintain compensation configuration and requirements in Workday. Ensure change requests are evaluated with view to downstream implications. Support steady state Workday technology and internal change requests by driving requirements development, coordinating testing needs and migration approvals.
  • Advise on Workday capabilities related to job profile setup, job families and compensation grades; support large scale job reclassification projects
  • Respond to internal system critical issues related to Compensation from compensation team, line HR, Payroll, talent acquisition operations.
  • Complete data and analytics initiatives including researching and implementing new analytical technologies or processes to support more sophisticated and automated compensation analysis.

Key Background
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of, and hands-on practical experience with Workday HCM Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation, reporting, EIBs and calculated fields
  • Experience implementing Workday's HCM core compensation and/or advanced compensation module for a global organization preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and execution skills, coupled with an ownership mentality to ensure tasks are seen through to completion.
  • Highly skilled at simplifying and operationalizing processes and systems to drive efficient delivery of services at scale.
  • Eager to learn new things and apply knowledge to innovate, improve/simplify processes, sharing what you know with others
  • Project Management experience preferred with skills to create, manage and deliver project and program timelines, achievements and status.
  • Willingness to flex and provide cross domain support to core HCM, Learning and Talent Acquisition scope via project opportunities and to lend expertise and insights to cross domain priorities
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with variety of partners (business and technical)
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Solid attention to detail with high regard for accuracy and confidentiality
