Are you passionate about movement, mentorship, and making a difference? Twist and Shout School of the Performing Arts—a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering young minds through arts, fitness, and STEM—is seeking a dynamic After-School Dance Teacher to inspire the next generation of performers.

From salsa fire to sophisticated waltz, our dance classes celebrate rhythm, grace, and self-expression. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, empathy, and a commitment to student growth—whether you're leading a Soul Train line or guiding students through choreography that builds confidence and creativity.

Position Details:

- Role: After-School Dance Teacher

- Schedule: Must be available at least one day per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday

- Location: Chicago, IL (in-school and OST programming)

- Compensation: $75 per class

- Start Date: Rolling, based on availability and school partner needs

What You’ll Do:

- Lead engaging, age-appropriate dance classes for elementary and middle school students

- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that celebrates student creativity

- Collaborate with Twist and Shout’s teaching artists and school partners

- Showcase student work through informal performances or classroom celebrations

Ideal Candidates:

- Have experience teaching dance to youth in school or community settings

- Are comfortable with a range of styles (Latin, hip hop, jazz, etc.)

- Can adapt lessons to different skill levels and group sizes

- Bring warmth, professionalism, and a passion for arts education
