Apply and reach out directly to grawilliams @actalentservices .com with an updated resume Job DescriptionWe are looking to add an Animal Research Lab Technician to our Indianapolis team. The purpose of this role is to assist in the daily maintenance of our animal facility by undertaking animal handling tasks, assisting with research and development projects, and ensuring the facility is clean and well-maintained. This role supports technicians and other staff in their regular processes.Essential Job Functions:

Ensure the health of all animals are properly fed, watered, and bedding is clean

Carry out all animal tasks in accordance with animal welfare requirements

Coordinate handling and delivery of vivarium supplies

Wash, dry and autoclave items as required

Accurately maintain relevant records, manually and electronically

Follow relevant OHS policies and procedures to ensure one’s own and others safety

Monitor and maintain OHS standards in the workplace

Euthanize animals in accordance with the approved methods and when required to do so

Dispose of biohazard waste appropriately

Assisted with GLP studies and documented findings.

Performed clinical observations and recorded body weights of rats and mice.

Qualifications:1) Bachelor's Degree in Life Science (Animal science degree is preferred)2) Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, LIMS, etc.)3) Experience being responsible for animal husbandry and maintaining vivarium colonies4) Ability to work independently and efficiently5) Strong communication skills, as this individual will work with partners all across the worldINTERESTED IN THIS ROLE?
