Associate Actuary - Life

DescriptionResponsibilities:

Providing actuarial support for the development of new products and pricing.

Developing various actuarial models, financial projections, and analyses.

Completing valuations and financial reporting.

Serving as a mentor to junior team members.

Collaborating with team members in all actuarial functions, including pricing, valuation, and modeling for life and annuity products.

Engaging in continuing education and professional development to remain current with regulatory changes and evolving actuarial theory and practice.

Requirements for Success:

A bachelor's degree in actuarial sciences, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is preferred.

5-10 years of actuarial experience in life insurance with a preference for experience in management and universal life products.

An ASA certification with a preference for FSA.

Experience with AXIS software or comparable actuarial software with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Proven ability to complete life insurance pricing, valuation, financial projection, and modeling.

Ability to communicate actuarial concepts effectively to a diverse audience.

Capacity to build trust with employees and those in leadership positions.

Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations.

Proven ability to problem-solve.
