API MES Assoc. DirectorPosition: Assoc. Director, Manufacturing and Quality IDSLevel: M2Reports to: API MES Global MQ IDSPosition Brand Description:Manufacturing IT supports operational excellence and productivity efforts through utilization of information and technology. This includes maximizing and exploiting existing systems at all levels, benchmarking and replicating as much as possible and using data to drive process improvements and productivity in the digital plant evolution environment.To achieve an e-Manufacturing vision, we must partner with the business on the following:- Drive towards a paperless operation by capturing all data electronically
- Enable seamless operations by performing transactions on any devices, at any time, from any location
- Enable a curious mindset for our business partners to experience their data via trends and dashboards
- Ensure practice matches procedures by flawless execution
- Guide work of all direct reports and contract workers; ensure appropriate PM plans, Development Plans are in place and within the given timelines
- Manage the business plan exercise and forecasting for the API MES global organization.
- Align resources to the priorities of the business to ensure on budget and on time delivery
- Build team capabilities to broaden support scope, when needed. Specifically, as new needs emerge within MQ, ensure team has capability to develop and support those needs
- Support with the global organization all the Standardization efforts driven a more efficient and effective program.
- Assure the adequate evaluation, assessment and follow up of the vendor is in place.
- Manage operational staff agendas and follow-up activities.
- Ensure visibility of the program takes place at the appropriate level.
- Assure the delivery and local/program model is the adequate and evolves as required.
- Prioritize service and support initiatives, to include enhancements and projects for the service provider and the in-scope technology area.
- Eliminate barriers to ensure services are delivered on time, on budget
- Work with the business, IT Sr. Director, and staff to regularly update strategy and plan to achieve.
- Ensure adequate release management, change management, deployment and LCM take place, as needed in the evolution of the program.
- Ensure effective communications across team resources and service provider
- Participate in the governance team meetings across the API network as well as Emerson.
- Keep connection with MES Pharma
- Experience leading diverse team with or without formal supervisory responsibility
- Desire and ability to communicate using a variety of methods in diverse forums.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently and significantly influence peers and leadership
- Desire and ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Desire and ability to operate at multiple levels (detailed and strategic)
- Demonstrated ability to triage issues and escalate only those that are appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate, facilitate, and drive towards risk-based decision making
- Understanding of MQ IDS and Service Management Processes
- Understanding of GMP requirements and experience delivering within those requirements
- Broad awareness of MQ IDS landscape and architecture
- Experience working globally across organizational levels and in a multicultural environment
- MES Solutions experience
- API Site experience
- Knowledgeable of manufacturing operations desired
- Manufacturing site experience strongly desired
- S95 knowledgeable
- Full-Time role
- Some travel required to visit sites, vendors and meet team resources, as may have resources working from US and OUS
