Attorney/Lawyer

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer situated in Muncie, Indiana. The role centers around the fireworks industry, involving duties such as litigation, insurance defense, administrative work, and local government representation. The successful candidate will be handling cases with product liability and insurance defense matters, and will be supported by a team of paralegals.Responsibilities: Engage in complex commercial and business litigation Defend insurance cases for the fireworks industry Conduct extensive research matters related to the role Represent small municipalities in local government matters Handle product liability cases in the fireworks industry Liaise and work with government agencies on administrative tasks Manage a high caseload of municipal work with the support of paralegals Engage in some transactional work related to the industry Utilize skills in municipal laws and courts in daily operations Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all client interactions Requirements Must hold a degree in Law from an accredited law school. Should have a valid license to practice law in the state. Proven experience as an attorney/lawyer, specifically in areas of municipal laws and complex commercial litigation. Familiarity with complex business litigation and complex litigation. Proven experience in litigation defense. Experience as a Litigation Attorney would be highly advantageous. Excellent analytical skills to handle complex legal research. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in legal research software and platforms. Strong understanding of municipal laws and court procedures. Proven track record of representing clients in court or before government agencies. Ability to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for legal and business environments.
