Coating Production Scheduler

The Coating Production Scheduler is an integral role in our Service, Materials, and Logistics team overseeing the Coating planning activities . In this role you will report directly to the Service, Materials & Logistics Manager, and you will be responsible for overseeing the daily workflow, scheduling activities to support the Coating business unit, as well as WIP inventory management. Additionally, this position will support key initiatives and projects focused on improving service, scheduling and planning as it affects the Coating business unit. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:Essential functions may include, but are not limited to: Daily scheduling for assigned Coating/Roll Editing assets to optimize customer requested dates, Coating campaigns and manufacturing capacity.Works with customer service, sales, supply chain as needed to resolve customer order issues.Provides machine capacity planning as needed to support the business. Identify and communicate bottleneck areas and provide assistance to manage over / under capacity situationsProvides leadership for WIP management to minimize obsolescence and improve inventory turnsParticipates in physical inventory processMonitors stock programs and works with division resources to adjust planning parameters as necessary.Daily management and reporting of Coating metrics including stocking levels, and capacityProvide support for product transitions and new product introductions.Consistently works in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems. Performs general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within department/group and assists other areas as required.Continuously reviews current processes and searches out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process. Supports safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.Assists and supports other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participates and shares in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility. Contributes and participates in team decision-making. Provides support in project work and other special requests.
