Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist based in Anderson, Indiana. In this role, you'll be primarily responsible for managing accounts receivable and liaising with both large scale retail chains and small businesses. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, particularly during our busy spring/summer season, and play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health.Responsibilities: Handle business-to-business collections and manage aged accounts. Maintain regular contact with large retail chains and small businesses for collections purposes. Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to configure spreadsheets, set up templates, and manage pivot tables and Vlookups. Participate in the implementation and testing processes for Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the collections process. Utilize SAP ERP system for various tasks (knowledge of this system is not mandatory but is beneficial). Manage and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records. Process customer applications efficiently and accurately. Requirements The candidate must possess at least 2 years of experience as a Collections Specialist or a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. The candidate must have experience in Commercial Collections. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are mandatory. An understanding of relevant legal requirements is necessary. The candidate should be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. The candidate should display strong organizational and multitasking abilities. A problem-solving attitude is an asset for this role. Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques is required. The candidate should be comfortable working with targets. A high level of patience and ability to handle pressure is needed. The candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and trustworthiness are key qualities for this role. The candidate should possess strong customer service skills.
