Learn more about MDwise, Inc. athttps://www.mdwise.org/Position Summary:The Compliance Officer acts as a primary liaison between MDwise and the State of Indiana for one of the Indiana Medicaid programs in which MDwise serves as a managed care entity (MCE). The Compliance Officer facilitates communication between federal and State regulators and State Medicaid contractors, and MDwise’s executive leadership and staff for the Plan’s Medicaid compliance program.This position works with both the legal and compliance teams and has a reporting relationship to the MDwise Director, Legal Affairs.This is a hybrid position with requirements to come onsite in Indianapolis, IN, as determined by the leaderEqual Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans#LI-AK1Required:
Associate degree in business, health care or related field.
One (1) yearexperience working as an independent auditor or accountant responsible for evaluating internal financial and operational records for the purpose of ensuring regulatory compliance.
Candidate must be approved by the Indiana Medicaid agency prior to hiring and the agency may ask to interview candidate.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in business, health care or related field.
Certified in Health Care Compliance and/or Health Care Privacy Compliance.
One (1) year experience as a compliance officer (health care-related compliance preferred).
Two (2) years’ experience and knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO and Managed Care operational functions.
