Job Title: Corn Husker and Sorter
Location: Corteva Agriscience Llc (1000 W Jefferson St, Tipton, IN, 46072)
Job Description:
Watching corn as it comes down a conveyor belt (Please note that watching moving belt can aggravate motion sickness).
Can be standing on ergonomic mats and/or seated on a stool
Distinguish defects and remove product from conveyer belts.
Take corn off the husk.
Discard any non-corn product.
Employees Must be able to walk up and down stairs and may be required to stand for prolong times
Environment: the facility is not climate controlled, so it will be hot and dusty
Dress Code: Jeans and a t-shirt with no holes, steel toed shoes.
Pay Rate: $17hr (eligible to receive $500 attendance bonus)
Shift:
Day shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Training: Likely first 3 days at 7:30a-3:00p - TBD)
Corn sorters will most likely work 6 days a week. 48 - 60 hours(depending on number of positions filled). Candidates should be available all 7 days but will rotate days off
Contract Only:
September-October
(the best corn sorters will have an opportunity to transition to a production tech spot)
Nice to know:
Worksite is STRICTLY TOBACCO FREE. Cigarettes/cigars, vapes/e-cigarettes, chew, dip, zyns, etc. are not permitted because they can affect the product adversely.
Employees are not able to leave during paid breaks, but are permitted to leave and return while clocked out during their 30-min lunch break.
Anyone found consuming tobacco products at the worksite will be immediately escorted off the property.
