 Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to act as the key, day-to-day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service.This role will support a key technology client on the expansion of high-tech manufacturing facilities, contributing to one of the most significant and complex capital programs in the region.To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. In this high-impact position, you will provide leadership and direction while promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.

 Responsibilities: Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycleProviding estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost planCollaborating with design teams and general contractors to develop accurate cost estimatesReconciling changes and validating contractor dataPreparing cost estimate updates and written commentary for client reviewCoordinating cost information from various sources including suppliers, subcontractors, and design teamsAdvising on engineering priorities based on cost impactManaging cost checks, valuations, and change control processesLeading contingency management and commitment trackingSupporting value engineering and funding presentationsReviewing contractor pricing and leading negotiations to ensure fair contract valuesPerforming quantity surveying, cost control, and change management throughout the project lifecycleProducing monthly cost reports and ensuring timely agreement of final accountsCompiling as-built cost records for benchmarkingMentoring junior team members and promoting a culture of excellenceUtilizing internal systems for financial tracking and reportingSOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
