Position Summary:

The Data Stewardship Liaison will work closely with the business and data teams to find the right challenges and opportunities that could be solved with data solutions. They will provide guidance and support for stakeholders to improve their data literacy and advocate the adoption of data management and data governance best practices. The role may work directly with the business to address gaps that are uncovered, or work between the business and data teams to help provide a complete solution. This role will be responsible for maintaining data sets and ensuring quality data. This role will have demonstrated experience with using data to unlock business value.

Essential Position Duties:
  • Working with business to understand processes and their data needs, challenges, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with business, data, and organizational leaders on process improvement and data quality and governance opportunities
  • Define new data collection needs and analysis processes
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts, monitor ongoing results, define process areas for review, and conduct benchmarking activities to ensure best in class results for data management best practices
  • Identifying patterns and trends
  • Responsible for adherence to standards and controls, data quality, problem management, and change management requests
  • Work with Site Data Stewards to establish synergies, standardization & best practices
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
  • 3-6 years' experience
  • Associates degree in information systems, math, statistics, economics or related degree
  • Experience working with business groups and using data to unlock business value
  • Good experience with spreadsheet tools (Excel)
  • Visualization tool experience (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Experience using statistics for analysis is a plus

May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion. Frequent use of computer and telephone.

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
