- Assist in the design and costing of new house plans.
- Direct an ongoing value engineering process that ensures plans that use space efficiently, are efficient to build and minimize waste.
- Maintain a current database in Mark Systems that ensures accurate information is available to all relevant parties for budgeting, costing, estimating, pricing and reporting purposes.
- Prepare budgets for all base house plans and options.
- Administer contracts with sub-contractors, vendors and suppliers.
- Execute the company’s process for bidding, awarding contracts, and issuing purchase orders and variance purchase orders.
- Prepare and issue start packages for all construction starts authorized by the Vice President of Operations.
- Support the Sales Department with pricing needs and technical information.
- Prepare and maintain all pricing information whether in “pricing books” or within information systems. The Director of Estimating and Purchasing is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of that information.
- Establish and maintain a subcontractor/supplier performance evaluation system.
- Review and analyze all costs that vary from the budget and recommend strategies and processes to eliminate specific variances.
- Coordinate all relationships with architects and other professionals who create or draft any house plans or options related thereto to ensure that all plans available to contractors, suppliers, sales counselors, home buyers, marketing professionals etc. are current, accurate and appropriate.
- Prepare all specification descriptions for subcontractors, suppliers and field personnel.
- Together with the Director of Design conduct an ongoing search to improve the selection of products and finishes available for Infinity Homebuyers
