Position Summary

This position will be responsible for leading test scheduling, managing day-to-day engineering activities, effectively planning, managing and implementing the testing of existing and new OEM forklifts and components and leading Kiazen activities. This position is also responsible for the quality of engineering and test documentation. Position requires technically oriented individual with the communication and leadership skills to lead a team to meet a demanding and fast-paced testing program. It requires a goal-driven and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and technical knowledge.

Essential Position Duties•Responsible for planning and development of test strategy on Electrical fork truck related systems.•Managing test schedules and providing visibility of schedules to design team members, management, technicians and peers.•Oversight of Electrical and Firmware Test Engineer(s) in order to meet testing and prototype build requirements.•Assigning tasks to engineering manpower based on master schedules and monitoring the progress on a daily basis.•Participate in scope of work discussions and in test issue or failure discussions and process.•Reviewing Test reports completed by test technicians and test Engineers.•Prepare documentation related to testing for reporting in meetings and design reviews.•Prepare and implement improvements to processes and procedures related to testing, planning, and reporting.•Plan and specify new equipment required for new product development vehicle and component testing.•Analyze and countermeasure testing issues as they arise.•Oversee the quality of Test agreement documents or test plans, CDCP and F&Rs (Internal FMEA process)•Manage the project PDCA as required.•Overseeing all the LabVIEW program, firmware tool development to support all test programs•Provide regular feedback to engineers about their performance and guide them to success through year-end and mid-year feedbacks.•Contribute to Hoshin plans and Budget planning as required.•Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner•Additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience•Bachelors in Electrical engineering or Bachelors in Computer sciences/Engineering or related field of study is required.•4 or more years of experience in a new product development role. Telematics experience preferred. •2 or more years of experience in a lead engineer or supervisory role•Automotive or industrial equipment system development and test experience is preferred. System-level, component-level test characterization is required. •Experience with the firmware test architecture, test tool development, test case development is preferred•Excellent problem solving skills and analytical ability.•Experience with CAN Bus, including CAN Open and others is preferred. •Test Automation background would be a plus (Python, Test stand, LabVIEW, C etc.)•High level of interpersonal skills and works effectively with cross-cultural teams•Candidate with strong project management experience, leadership skills and attention to detail is preferred.•Excellent team player with strong communication skills both written and verbal.•Understanding of product life cycles, and application of relevant test methodologies.•Understanding of electric forklift or similar mobile products. Possess the technical ability to read, evaluate, understand and communicate data from schematics, layouts and technical standard documents.
