Sales / Marketing hybrid role.
Field sales - B2B with some event work
Looking for passionate and determined candidates ready to break into sales in the alternative goods industry
21+ required
Have to be a self-starter and very motivated.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Field Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a deep understanding of our products and services.
You will be responsible for regular visits to customers (stores and wholesalers/distributors), coordinating and running events, such as “pop ups,” and meeting monthly quotas. This is not a traditional 9-5 role, but you are expected to put in full time hours to meet/exceed visit numbers, establish relationships, and lead the push to develop product adoption across our 3 brands and more than 10 unique product lines in the region.
This is a remote opportunity but based in the assigned territory and is a role that requires a big portion of time being spent conducting visits to customers and leads.
You MUST be based in one of the listed areas and will be working in a territory that includes a large portion of the state plus some surrounding areas:
Indianapolis, IN
Our Ideal Candidate:
Ideal candidate has worked in a smoke or vape shop for 1+ years and understands the industry and how shops operate, but this isn’t a requirement. Field sales or marketing also a great plus for us!
You are a motivated salesperson who doesn’t need to have your hand held to achieve results, and you love to problem solve and find solutions for customers and advocate for them. Comfortable upselling product and not just being an “order-taker.”
You aren’t happy sitting at a desk all day, but love to meet new people, overcome objections, and are obsessed with customer service. You probably will spend 3-4 days/week in the field and 1 day in the office.
You love building relationships with people, and are good with faces/names (or using notes to remember). You are able to work with a diverse range of customers.
You love problem solving and ask questions to better understand a customer’s needs/wants in order to find better solutions for them.
You are organized and can balance a hectic schedule with changing priorities.
You aren’t afraid to ask for help or answers to questions, but you also try to use available tools and resources before doing so.
You are driven by a desire to grow and achieve success so being “good enough” isn’t good enough for you. You love having high potential for success and income.
If there are delays or product issues or any other customer concerns, you are able to manage customer expectations, concerns, and communicate with our in-house staff to find adequate resolutions while keeping the customer as content as possible to show them our dedication to delivering an “above and beyond” level of customer service.
Benefits:
Competitive base salary with uncapped commission. (Salary may vary based on location and experience)
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
Retirement savings plan with company match.
Paid time off and holidays.
Mostly remote work. We may have you occasionally come to the California office for in-person training, team meetings, and new product information. You also will have to travel for tradeshows and events and your territory may cover up to a 200 mile radius with a core emphasis in the listed primary location and surrounding cities.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs and market trends.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and providing solutions.
Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Sales Presentation and Negotiation:
Present and demonstrate products and services to potential clients.
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations tailored to client needs.
Negotiate and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
Sales Reporting and Administration:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in CRM systems.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions.
Collaboration and Support:
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, warehouse, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Participate in local events, trade shows, conferences, and networking events as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sales or a similar role.
Skills:

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
