Industrial Engineer II

Industrial Engineer II (Southwire Company LLC– Bremen, Indiana); Multiple positions available. Responsible for analyzing SAP and Advaris MES interaction to increase system utilization of MRP and production planning. Evaluate materials and develop machinery and processes to manufacture materials for use in products that must meet specialized design and performance specifications. Order raw materials as needed based upon production planning as compared to production output. Required to understand overall campus capability and capacity and must be in daily communication at various levels both internally and externally. Implement standardized processes to be used across the campus and configure capacity and strategic production analysis and improvements. Provide materials management support and retrieve data from SAP and BI via queries to analyze data and make recommendations. Assist with raw material and WIP inventory reduction projects and develop capital request write-ups, project justification and tracking. Responsible for the creation and refinement of tools for conveying frequently communicated data and reports. Support the Production Planning and Raw Materials functional groups across the entire campus and assist in the production planning and raw material procurement processes.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in utilizing industrial engineering methods and concepts. Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: Using ERP systems to analyze production data and processes; Coordinating on quality control processes across departments in an industrial manufacturing environment; Leading production machinery maintenance initiatives; Participating in Product Correction and Preventative Actions (CAPA’s); and, Analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for industrial production. Experience may be gained concurrently.
