Looking to hire qualified machine operators!Up to $18.50/hourDescription:The Inspector Packer is responsible for performing product inspections to determine conformance with specifications and packaging these products according to customer requirements.Job Duties include:-Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times and immediately report unsafe working conditions or mechanical safety problems to the Shift Supervisor.-Understand the product line. Know the function of the product and any potential product defects that can adversely affect the function or application of the product.-Perform production verifications at the start of an order and each shift.-Perform the required visual inspections at the beginning of each shift and at the interval specified in the data acquisition software. Immediately notify the Manufacturing Coordinator if any defects are found.-Utilize the data acquisition software to determine which gauging (if necessary) must be performed during the production run to ensure quality standards are met.-Keep accurate documentation in the data acquisition software during the production run.-Inspect parts on the conveyor belts and in product containers throughout the shift, and perform liner inspections as required.-Assist the Material Technician in keeping the WIP hoppers supplied with parts.-If applicable, periodically check the glue tank level to ensure a proper supply of glue is available to the machine.-Properly package and handle the production per the assigned manufacturing specification.-Accurately record scrap and place the scrap in the proper containers.-Assist in the performance of the machine startups and shutdowns and line clearances, and keep machine downtime to a minimum.-Keep the workstation clean and neat at all times by utilizing good housekeeping practices-Assist in the training of fellow associates and perform other duties as assigned-Participate in Lean and safety programs.-Follows applicable Food Safety and cGMP policiesSkills:plastics manufacturing, machine operation, machine operater, Packing, Loading, Palletizing, Packaging, Picking, Pick, General labor, Inventory, Production, visual inspection, material handling, inspection, plastics, factory, manufacturing environment, warehouse environmentAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Must Haves:-Hight School diploma/GED-Reliable transportation-Good communication skills (written & oral)-Able to follow written instructions-Able to work well with others, team atmosphere-Ability to be trained in multiple departments-Able to multi task-Computer skills, general-Able to stand on feet for entire shift-Must be flexible on working 12hr shifts-Flexible to rotating weekly scheduleNice to Haves:-Production experience-Factory/manufacturing experience-Worked in plastic production-Mechanically inclined-Mobile equipment experienceEducation:-HS diploma/GED requiredPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the contractor is regularly required to-Stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel: reach with hands and arms: and talk or hear.-Balance and stoop or crouch-Lift and or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50lbs.-Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focusAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
