The IT Enterprise Platforms organization is actively seeking an architect to partner with internal and external IT partners to accelerate business outcomes for the enterprise through automation. Do you enjoy researching automation successes and creating "game changing" solutions across multiple functions? Do you have a passion for coaching technologists?What You'll Be Doing:Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enterprise Platforms, you will lead and establish enterprise automation technologies and capabilities by researching industry innovations and trends, uncovering business use cases, and driving solutions to accelerate business outcomes for the enterprise. There are four primary components to the role: architectural vision and leadership of key initiatives, technical oversight of the portfolio, internal influence to drive automation within business strategies, and external research of use-cases and industry leading technology.How You'll Succeed:- Research Externally: Use external information to bring progressive, forward-thinking solutions forward to advance Lilly's automation capabilities. Direct and council leadership about ground-breaking technologies and trends. Anticipate and communicate the implications of technical decisions on the business, systems, and project timelines.
- Partner: Build effective partnerships and champion continual collaboration across IT to learn and anticipate business trends. Collaborate and investigate to understand business needs and use-cases for automation. Uncover untapped opportunities by driving ideation sessions and conversations.
- Influence strategy: Provide strategic recommendations to bring in new technologies, maximize the value of current assets, and move away from others. Build roadmaps and gain consensus from enterprise architecture. Influence program priorities based on business need and value gain for Lilly business outcomes.
- Lead implementations: Drive key automation program initiatives and technology roadmaps. Lead compliant/secure tech implementation. Influence/direct automation toolset implementations to be aligned with strategic roadmap and standards.
- Manage Automation Portfolio: Maximize value derived from toolset by increasing adoption for large-value adoption ofITcapabilities.
- Experience as an autonomous IT leader leading large scale portfolios and sophisticated high demanding customers.
- Demonstrated ability to influence IT and businessstrategies to drive large-scale outcomes.
- Validated skills of strong learning agility and relationship building to influence change using knowledge and relationships.
- Successful record of high quality, user focused, on-time & budget IT service and project delivery.
- Experience with formal project management methodologies, agile frameworks (including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc. ) and working knowledge of associated practices and tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills, working across agile and diverse teams.
- A high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest.
