IT Specialist

IT Support Specialist needed for South Bend, IN labs to assist with ongoing IT support.Lab site needs a local onsite IT support specialist to work the following:Knowledge of Network connectivity types for devices such as facilities equipment, cameras, WAP, Desktops, laptops, switches, printers, copiers, laboratory instruments, VOIP phones, TV conferencing, TV signage, etc.

Meet with vendors for installation questions and directions onsite. Examples: ISP installers for circuits, CAT6 installers, TV installers, copier vendors

Receive and secure local IT hardware until installation

Assist as smart hands for IT hardware installations and validations all is working as expected

Knowledge of network security is a plus Knowledge of Laboratory instruments connectivity is a plus

Knowledge of Windows 10 desktop support (onsite and remote)

Must be able to travel 25% in area between sites

Must be able to lift IT hardware up to 50lbs and ability to a climb ladder

Install and configure appropriate software according to security and operations specifications

Place orders for IT related hardware and complete asset management once received.

Ensure Security and Privacy policies of networks and computer systems are followed.

Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems(repair or replace parts, debugging, reimage, etc.)

Manage tickets for Issues and projects in ServiceNow
