Job Title: Leader Technical TrainingJob Code: 104838Job SummaryLead a team of Welding Trainers and address welding issues that occur in the field. Schedules Welding students and tests. Coordinates training requests and determines resource allocations. Assist in course and curriculum development as well as determining the methods of training delivery. Takes actions to ensure employees are properly prepared to work safely, effectively and in compliance with all Regulatory requirementsPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for work planning and resource allocation of assigned employees.
Directs, and participates in development/revision of new or existing training programs, curriculum, courses, outlines, and manuals.
Supervises activities of Technical Trainers to ensure following SOPs.
Prepares correspondence and reports.
Remains current with technology, regulatory requirements, and related training.
Builds and maintains strong collaborative partnerships with Operations leadership/management.
Assess and develop skills of Trainers.
Applies Collective Bargaining Agreements, as they pertain to training.
Assess organizational training and evaluation needs and makes recommendations.
Makes presentations to internal and external groups.
Coordinates the work of outside training contractors, as needed.
Procures the materials and equipment needed to conduct training.
Promotes the necessary environment for professional and effective training to be conducted.
Initiates continual improvement initiatives and leads cross functional teams in implementing improvements.
Responsible for efficient utilization of Training Centers
Required Qualifications for Position
Minimum five years’ experience in Welding, Training or related experience.
Demonstrated technical expertise in assigned area.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others and build ongoing working relationships
Basic computer skill proficiency
Project management experience
Demonstrated Leadership experience
Current Driver’s License
Estimated Travel 20%
Preferred Qualifications for Position
Fabrication and pipe fitting skills
CWI (Certified Welding Inspector)
