Maintenance Technician (Sun-Wed night)

Location: Waterloo, INSun-Wed nights.Sun-Tues 6pm-6am, WED 6pm-12am +$17/hr shift differential for Sunday nights!+$5/hr shift differential for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night!Avg annually $67k-$84k plus bonusesOvertime eligible! Duties/Responsibilities:Here is a snapshot of your day-to-day:Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and screws.Repair/troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders, valves, solenoids and pumpsIdentify and make hydraulic hoses as neededAdvanced welding and fabrication skills.  Must perform welding in various positions, locations and weld various types of jointsAbility to properly operate band saws, torch, drill presses, grinders and other shop toolsPerforms installation of new equipment.  Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.Troubleshoot using electrical schematics and multimeter/megger to diagnose electrical issuesProperly size components and cabling for new electrical systemsReads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits; IO’s, OL’s, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical componentsFamiliar with troubleshooting/set up of VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemen, Lenze, Allen Bradley, ABFamiliar with interference fits and bearing heatersStart or jog equipment to perform maintenance tasksTest malfunctioning machinery, identify parts needed and complete repairsRepair, install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).Document and perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment dependability.Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.Perform other duties as assigned.
