The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to operate specific equipment as detailed in the attached competency/skills list. The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out his/her role in the management of information. The employee's role includes that of generator, collector, analyzer, enterer of data and/or information. Specific skills required are detailed in the attached competency/skills list. Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of Materials Management operations. Must demonstrate good organizational skills and ability to set priorities. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Requires excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with hospital staff. Must be able to relate effectively as a team player. Must have ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at various states of development. Must have ability to utilize the principles of supervision. Knowledge of PC and networked computer applications is desired. Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of independent access to confidential organizational information and must be able to handle such information appropriately. Must have personal computer skills. Must have a knowledge of just-in-time, stockless, and as needed materials replenishment processes. Must have basic knowledge of medical supplies and their use.POSITION SUMMARY
