VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is expanding its Neurology service and looking for an Experienced Veterinary Assistant !Are you passionate about veterinary medicine and eager to specialize in neurology? Support Diagnostic Procedures: Assist our neurologists and veterinary technicians during MRI, CT scans, electrodiagnostics, and other advanced diagnostic procedures.
Patient Care: Provide compassionate care to our neurological patients, including preparing them for procedures, assisting with treatments, and monitoring their condition.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing information about their pet's condition and care instructions.
Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Ensure all neurology equipment is properly maintained and that supplies are well-stocked.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with our team of veterinarians, technicians, and other assistants to provide the highest standard of care.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in veterinary medicine is required.
Passion for Neurology: A strong interest in neurology and a desire to learn and grow in this specialized field.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to interact with clients and team members in a professional and empathetic manner.
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a busy environment.
Schedule: Full-Time position, with four 10-hour weekdays or three 12-hours weekdays. Upon complete training with the Surgery Service (commonly three months), associates can train to perform on-call surgery duties. They can be included in an on-call rotation for both Surgeons and Neurologists. Bonuses apply!Compensation: Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.
