Summary: Process and communicate transportation arrangements between Account Managers’ clients, customers and transportation carrier. Working under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed. Able to exercise high levels of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for executing the customer's request for transportation via the most efficient and cost-effective manner while providing the highest level of Service

Find capacity for available freight from Customers, Sales agents, or other accounts.

Provide competitive professional rate quotes for upcoming truckloads

Post available load opportunity on available load boards.

Call available capacity and cover the available freight.

Confirm all loads by rate confirmation or contracts.

Input customer orders, bookings and confirmations in the HFL system

Book your available load opportunity with drivers or carriers and enter all freight bill info correctly into the business system.

Monitor all dispatched loads through check calls to insure on-time pick up and deliveries.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Serves effectively as a team member on user groups, site teams or HFL projects.

Follows SOP’s and work instructions and supports HFL results in conjunction with Supervisor and Manager.

Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Physical Demands

While performing the essential functions of this job, the representative is regularly required to talk or hear. The representative is required to sit for extended periods of time while visually and physically interacting with a computer. The representative is regularly required to use hands to finger; and reach with hands and arms.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or two years of work experience; and,

One year of experience in logistics business development or completion of HFL’s Sales and Marketing Internship or successful completion of HFL’s Sales Trainee Program and successful completion of HFL’s Business Development Training Modules.

Problem-Solving, Team Work, Self-Motivated, Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Willing to Learn Proprietary Software, Typing (40 WPM minimum), Detailed Oriented, and Reliable

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
