JOB SUMMARYWill develop, execute, implement, and continuously improve corporate policies and procedures. Manage the corporate improvement process in all key operational areas (freight bill control, damage control, load quality assessment, accessorial initiatives, on-time service etc.). Own and manage key administrative and operations processes at the corporate level.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage key operational and administrative processes at the company level to drive costs, quality, and customer value throughout the DC/VDC Network.

Direct the continuous assessment of established processes and procedures while auditing compliance with all SOP’s related to the DC/VDC network operations.

Oversee and coordinate the inclusion of new processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cost and meet on-time service expectations within the DC/VDC network structure.

Develop, coordinate and/or conduct training and education programs for all job classifications associated with the DC/VDC network as needed.

Work closely with various organizational functions (operations, marketing, sales, etc.) to ensure corporate principles and approaches are adhered to in current and future processes.

Coordinate and communicate with the Areas and other company organizations to ensure understanding and consistent application of processes and procedures.

Monitor facilities for compliance with company policies and procedures to ensure best practices are being shared as well as processes updated for all when required.

Coordinate, and communicate new processes and policies to field level management. Train terminal personnel on new processes related to the DC/VDC operations.

Provide terminal support relevant to operational process execution, training of supervision in all parts of the operations through structured projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or related field or equivalent experience.

Three (3) years operations experience.

Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills required.

Background in administration, operations, and/or sales.

Demonstrated organizational and analytical analysis abilities.

Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).

50-75% travel to various terminal locations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSRegional LTL experience.

WORKING CONDITIONSThis job operates in both, professional office environment indoors as well as dock/yard outdoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting, standing and or walking, use office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying.
