We are currently assisting them in hiring a skilled Payroll Specialist with a minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll, to join their expanding team on a contract-to-hire basis.This position is fully office-based, offering the selected candidate an opportunity to work in a highly interactive and engaging work environment. If you have a strong work ethic and thrive in dynamic workplaces, this is your opportunity.Job Description:As a Payroll Specialist, your main responsibility will be to ensure our employees receive accurate and timely compensation. You'll be responsible for collecting and reviewing timesheet data, calculating payable hours, bonuses, deductions, etc., and issuing paychecks.Responsibilities:

Gather and examine timesheets for accuracy.

Calculate the correct payment amounts incorporating overtime, bonuses, and deductions.

Gain approval from management for payroll amounts.

Assist with payroll changes, deductions, and garnishments.

Resolve payroll discrepancies.

Process payroll according to the set company schedule.

Input payroll data into our payroll system and validate reports.

Maintain personnel databases concerning salaries.

Calculate and manage taxes and deductions.

Prepare accurate payroll reports for internal and statutory submissions.

Requirements

3+ years of prior experience as a Payroll Specialist

Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.

Up-to-date knowledge of regulations and legislation in the field.

Proficient in MS Office and various payroll software and databases.

Trustworthy with a keen focus on confidentiality and discretion.

Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask effectively.

Outstanding numerical ability and attention to detail.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
