Title : Principal Electrical Engineer - Digital Design

Location : Indianapolis, IN

Duration : 12 Months Contract

Job Description:

The Principal Electrical Engineer will contribute to the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules, FPGAs, and/or CCAs for a variety of DoD applications.
The Principal Electrical Engineer must be experienced in all aspects of circuit card and/or FPGA design from concept through delivery to higher-level assemblies as evidenced by multiple successful design completions (including hardware/firmware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, UART).

Required Skills:

A minimum of eight (8) years of experience with digital embedded electrical design.
Proven ability to take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level and develop a complete hardware design, and verifying via test and integration
Experience selecting, simulating, integrating, and verifying complex Intellectual Property (IP) cores and interfacing such IP cores with application-specific digital logic.
Experience delivering FPGA solutions to system-level applications.
Experience in digital CCA design and analysis
Experience in design and test for compliance to military environmental standards

Desired Skills:

Expertise in embedded System-on-Chips systems design using ARM or RISC-V processors.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as TCL, Bash, or Python.
FPGA design/verification experience using a Linux-based development environment.
Experience in a leadership role such as team lead, technical lead, project lead, etc.
Highly motivated, high performers with a strong desire to learn and contribute in a fast-paced team environment.
Ability to perform work without appreciable direction.
Experience in the development and design of electronic circuit designs, multi-assembly system/unit design, processor designs

Education Requirements:

Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 8 years of related work experience. Master's degree preferred
