Lilly's Digital Health team is focused on leveraging next generation therapeutic ecosystems, connected devices,data and analytics to transform patient experiences and improving treatment outcomes. You'll be joining our Incubation Lab, a design and technology team re-imagining our approach to human-centered design innovation and rapid concept development at Lilly. We define, envision and shape differentiated customer experiences that empower individuals to live their best lives, as unencumbered by their condition as possible.

About the Role

As a Visual Designer in our Incubation Lab, you'll collaborate with teams across the organization to define big bets and transformative experiences by contributing high-quality visual assets and ideas to create exceptional identities and interfaces. Your design expertise will showcase the power of possible experiences by making complex , abstract ideas simple and tangible.

Your passion and experience for design craft and digital products will help elevate our quality and ensure that the little details add up to an exceptional customer experience, while our innovation practice thinks big. Through it all, the Visual Designer will contribute creativity in ways that shape cultur e , ensur ing our Incubation practice is steeped in good ideas and good energy.

Responsibilities

Define mood, tone, look, and feel to help position future products and services and translate that direction to high-quality experience prototypes that are easy and delightful to use. Elevate and maintain our visual design standard through direct contribution across a wide range of design outputs and mediums , from designing consumer apps to bringing a patient journey to life with visual storytelling .

Provide well-rationalized direction and critique to mentor and inspire other designers, ensuring elegant and innovative solutions across our design portfolio .

Demonstrate a high level of executive accountability, fl e xibility , initiative , and the ability to prioritize resource workload to efficiently deliver results.

Contribute thought leadership and a strategic design perspective to help our organization keep pace with the evolution of the design industry including best practices, new trends, and technologies.

Present and persuasively communicate design rationale across stakeholder groups at various levels, including internal teams and external vendors and partners.

Qualifications

10+ years' experience in digital design, with some experience in digital products or agile environments

BA/BS in Graphic Design, User Experience, Visual Communication, Digital Media or related field. OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of industry experience

Exceptional portfolio of design work spanning multiple design projects and mediums, with on interface or screen-based experiences.

Deep understanding of foundational design principles with excellent command of type, grid, composition and color.

Successful track record of delivering exceptional work creating great products, with proven skills in mentoring, presenting, and visual communication.

Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, possessing the ability to make complex ideas simple and consumable for a broad range of collaborators.

A collaborative and optimistic spirit to navigate difficult challenges without losing the joy, empathy, curiosity and sense of fun that makes design careers so rewarding.

Bonus Points:

History leading design team s in healthcare , pharmaceuticals or other highly-regulated industries.

Understanding of contemporary development processes and familiarity with the possibilities and deployment of modern front-end libraries and framework.

Additional Information

Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $116,250 to $170,500 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate's qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
