Apply and reach out directly to grawilliams @actalentservices .com with an updated resume Job DescriptionWe are looking to add an Animal Lab Technician to our Indianapolis team. The purpose of this role is to assist in the daily maintenance of our animal facility by undertaking animal husbandry tasks, assisting with research and development projects, and ensuring the facility is clean and well-maintained. This role supports technicians and other staff in their regular processes.Essential Job Functions: Ensure all animals are feed, watered and bedding is clean Carry out all animal tasks in accordance with animal welfare requirements Coordinate handling and delivery of vivarium supplies Wash, dry and autoclave items as required Accurately maintain relevant records, manually and electronically Carry out scheduled tasks so areas are clean and sterile where required Maintain vivarium and associated storage and office areas to a high standard of orderliness and cleanliness Follow relevant OHS policies and procedures to ensure one’s own and others safety Monitor and maintain OHS standards in the workplace Follow quarantine guidelines for specific areas of the facility Euthanize animals in accordance with the approved methods and when required to do so Remove biohazard waste appropriatelyOrganizational Capability Duties: Actively participate in all workshops within your team or by supporting other teams Drive learning and understanding of the OCP Assist other team members in all duties by providing training, guidance and support. Communicate to work effectively and safely with colleagues Assist in the continuous improvement of all processes throughout the company Assist in the management of equipment, materials and supplies in work area. Participate in rosters to assist in provision of services 7 days per week Take accountability for determining work priorities, making decisions, allocating tasks and monitoring work practices Take part in research and development projects to advance organizational capabilities.Hard Skills

Qualifications:1) Bachelor's Degree in Life Science2) 3+ months of vivarium experience3) Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, LIMS, etc.)4) Experience being responsible for animal husbandry and maintaining vivarium colonies5) Ability to work independently and efficiently6) Strong communication skills, as this individual will work with partners all across the worldINTERESTED IN THIS ROLE?
