This position is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients and staff. This leader plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the overall clinical practices and activities necessary to function daily. This position participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Monitors and participates in actual patient care. The RN Nurse Manager maintains open communication with all staff to promote improvement in performance and quality care. This position helps to maintain the budget, evaluates the capture of daily charges, and maintains accountability for charges for supplies and equipment. The RN Nurse Manager participates in the interviewing, hiring, counseling, and termination of employees.Exceptional Skills and QualificationsApplicants for this position must be able to function in all phases of patient care as needed to maintain clinical skills and serve as a role model.

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in nursing. Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing preferred.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the State of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

Two (2) years of experience in surgery, critical care, or PACU preferred.

Relevant nursing certification (CNOR) is preferred.

Promotes a positive work environment to enhance employee and patient satisfaction.

Requires a high degree of responsibility, confidentiality, and discretion.

Remains calm and effective in stressful situations and takes initiative in emergency situations.

Able to prioritize, organize and multi-task.

Demonstrates strong leadership and professionalism.

Must be able to identify, intervene appropriately, and resolve problems in a timely and respectful manner. Be able to use leadership skills to promote teamwork by example.
