Do you love leading projects using processes and cutting-edge technology to make use of all the data within GEICO? Are you passionate about continuous improvement through Agile methodologies? As a Scrum Master on the GEICO IT Squad, you will serve a scrum team to help drive and deliver critical software across multiple key strategic initiatives within the Indy IT Center of Excellence in our Indianapolis, IN office.
Basic Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master, project manager, or product owner on technical projects (Software Development, DevOps, or Big Data)
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to processes and projects
- Strong understanding of how to maintain a groomed backlog with multiple sprints planned
- Experience managing work and dependencies across multiple departments
- Experience creating detailed project plans and estimates for projects and tracking results
- Experience identifying addressing gaps, risks and blockers within a scrum team
- Track record of driving change at the peer level and above through coaching and mentoring
- Strong critical thinking, decision making, and analytical skills
- Outstanding time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive while working on ambiguous or challenging projects
Preferred Qualifications:- Working knowledge of Sales/Service/Underwriting systems
- Working knowledge of data mapping
- Experience using Confluence, Share Point, and Azure DevOps
- Agile Certifications (SAFe, CSM, PSM, etc.) are a plus
