GuidePoint is seeking a well-rounded AWS Senior Cloud Security Architect to join our Cloud Security Practice. AWS Senior Cloud Security Architects work with GuidePoint's clients to define AWS security strategy, assess the security posture of their AWS environments, develop security roadmaps for AWS service adoption, and implement solutions to help customers meet their growing cloud needs. GuidePoint's AWS Senior Cloud Security Architects have well-rounded experience in AWS IaaS and PaaS services. Responsibilities:- Design secure architectures leveraging AWS native services.
- Implement AWS IAC solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Conduct assessments of AWS environments by reviewing security architecture, service deployment, and operations.
- Draft cloud security deliverables based on assessment findings.
- Work with subject-matter experts from other GuidePoint Information Assurance. practices to understand internal process and functional requirements (e.g., GRC, AppSec, DFIR, IAM, Penetration Testing).
- Accurately and consistently document findings and recommendations that are easily digested by clients including procedural documentation and technical briefings.
- Assist in developing new service offerings based growing cloud services.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed project objective and user expectations.
- Possess strong client-facing and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
- Experience in creating and deploying cloud resources while leveraging cloud security best practices.
- Maintain a solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, virtualization, containers, infrastructure security, data security, encryption, management plane, business continuity, identity entitlement and access management.
- Maintain a familiarity with cloud security platforms such as CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, and others as new technologies emerge.
- An understanding of fundamental programming logic.
- Ability to communicate with customers and provide consultation on cloud security subject matter.
- Time management skills with ability to multitask.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of AWS services including identity, security, data, application, infrastructure, networking, and DevOps lifecycles.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in implementing AWS solutions.
- Candidate must have at least one AWS professional level certification or the Security Specialty.
