Overview

SENIOR CLOUD ENGINEER (NSWCIT-2023-18004):

Bowhead is seeking to network with a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team for a potential opportunity at NSWC Crane, IN. This contract has not been awarded and is not currently funded but is expected to begin in 2023. The Senior Cloud Engineer will support the customer, employees and Bowhead interests in all day-to-day functions. They will be responsible for the assisting the team as well as ensuring the mission and Government customer's requests are met in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:
  • Applying software development fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
  • Assisting with the configuration of multiple GIS Cloud servers and services.
  • Implementing and troubleshooting Cloud server patches and service issues.
  • Configuring, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cloud server security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitoring and analyzing Cloud server and service usage.
  • Providing and implementing recommendations on server and service configuration changes and operational procedures to increase efficiency.
  • Administering and assisting Cloud users.
  • Documenting service configuration and configuration procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Technology, Information Technology or related field is required.
  • Three (3) years of full-time professional experience establishing and administering enterprise solutions within Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure Cloud services.
  • Must hold Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Baseline Qualifications for CSWF Specialty Area and Proficiency Level per Section 6.23.2 Cyber Security Workforce Qualifications.
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
